Nata de coco is a processed product made from coconut water with the help of Acetobacter xylinum bacteria in the fermentation process. It has a jelly-like texture but is more chewy, not soft and has a transparent white color.
Nata de coco contains about 98% water, 0.2% fat, 0.012% calcium, 0.002% phosphorus, and 0.0017% vitamin B3
The main raw material for making nata de coco is old coconut water.
Nata de coco is used as a refreshing food or dessert and can be mixed into ice cream, fruit cocktails, yoghurt and so on.
